B‑SLICK Non‑Stick Equipment Barrier

(Pre-treatment)

  • Apply to equipment that is clean and dry.
  • Once the B‑SLICK is dry, it leaves a waxy film that prevents asphalts from sticking to the original surface.
  • When it is time to clean the equipment, rinse with hot water first.
  • Spot treat with degreaser where the asphalt is too thick to rinse off.
  • Finally, completely rinse the equipment again to leave no remaining film from the oils.

As a bed release agent, one application is good for multiple loads, typically 5 or more, before you need to re-apply. As an equipment barrier it won’t clog working mechanisms like distributor truck valves. And it decreases the amount of degreaser needed for the final clean-up. This helps protect the petroleum-based components on the equipment.

It is water soluble and non-flammable, with a 394°F flashpoint. There is no silicone, so it leaves no heavy residue, and it does not affect asphalts or petroleum-based products (plastic, rubber, adhesives, paint). Clean-up afterwards is a hot-water rinse.
